How to resolve "Video not available, cannot find 'vids:XVID' decompressor." problem?

Obviously , your video needs xvid codec to play  , and your windows dose not has one .  see following screen:

no xvid codec

Yes  , if you are luck ,  you can hear the sound  , but no video .

FFDShow  is DirectShow decoding filter for decompressing DivX, XviD, H.264, FLV1, WMV, MPEG-1 and MPEG-2, MPEG-4 movies codes .  It is free and  can be download from

                http://www.free-codecs.com/download/ffdshow.htm
(it this link dose not work  , please try FFDShow on goolge.com)

Please note that  , you need directx9 or later installed before you can install FFDShow, or  it won't work  . So the steps are:

1) . If you don't have directx9 or later in your system , download it from :

   http://download.microsoft.com/download/8/1/e/81ed90eb-dd87-4a23-aedc-298a9603b4e4/directx_9c_redist.exe

2) . Install directX 9

3) . Install FFDShow codecs package .

step 2 must before step 3 , or the codecs dose not work.
